DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce today announced the launch of “Colorado Chamber Office Hours,” a new podcast focusing on issues impacting the state’s business community featuring in-depth conversations with legislators, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The podcast is hosted by Ed Sealover, vice president of strategic initiatives and editor of the Chamber’s digital publication The Sum & Substance. The first episode, “What Can We Expect When Colorado’s Legislature Convenes Next Week? Senate President James Coleman Gives Us a Preview,” was released today, covering priorities of caucus leadership ahead of the legislative session. Upcoming episodes are set to feature Colorado Senate Minority Leader Cleave Simpson, Speaker of the House Julie McCluskie and House Minority Leader Jarvis Caldwell.
“As the leading voice for the statewide business community, the Colorado Chamber is consistently at the forefront of the state’s most pressing economic and policy issues,” said Colorado Chamber President and CEO Loren Furman. “By bringing together top business and political leaders across Colorado for candid conversations, the Chamber is creating a new way for Coloradans to stay informed about the issues and people shaping our state and local economies.”
“This is going to be a podcast for Coloradans interested in what policies and market dynamics are impacting the business ecosystem across the state,” Sealover said. “They will hear candid conversations with legislators, innovators and the industry leaders who are working to improve Colorado’s business atmosphere. This will be a whole new way for them to become informed about the issues shaping our economies.”
New episodes of “Colorado Chamber Office Hours” will be released every Monday morning during the state legislative session and biweekly when the legislature is not in session. Throughout session, the podcast will focus on discussions with lawmakers about legislative, political and regulatory issues impacting employers across the state. After session, episodes will broaden to big-picture issues highlighting the entrepreneurs and business leaders shaping Colorado’s economy.
