DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce announced that after 23 years of leadership serving the organization, Dave Tabor will conclude his tenure as executive vice president of business partnerships, initiating a planned succession and transition process to fill his role.

In coordination with the Chamber as part of long-term planning, Tabor will depart from his full-time role at the end of July 2026. At that time, he will shift to a consulting capacity over a six-month period to assist in the transition of a replacement for the role. He will also remain an active member of the Colorado Chamber Foundation’s Board of Directors.

“After working side by side with Dave for many years, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together,” said Chamber President and CEO Loren Furman. “His business sense, strategic leadership and deep commitment to the Chamber’s vision have strengthened our reputation and earned the trust of our members across Colorado. While there’s no question he leaves an enormous void to fill here at the Chamber offices, I appreciate that he’ll help us identify the right successor and ensure a smooth transition to position us for continued success.”

“After 23 years in this role, I’m promoting myself to a life of professional cherry-picking,” Tabor said. “While I’m keeping the ProCO360 podcast microphone, the consulting deck, and work on my favorite Chamber programs, I’m officially unsubscribing from the commute. I will miss the daily connection with my Chamber colleagues and our members – and I do look forward to seeing what Colorado trails look like on a Tuesday morning. It has been a privilege to help strengthen the Colorado Chamber’s role as the driving force expanding opportunity across Colorado.”

Tabor first came to the Chamber in 2003, where he has led the membership team, maintained partnerships with key business leaders, and engaged Colorado businesses in advocating for a healthy economy. In his time at the Chamber, he has helped establish the Chamber as the strongest voice for business statewide and supported membership revenue growth approaching fourfold.

Prior to his role at the Chamber, Tabor started, grew and then sold Tabor Interactive, which created internet and multimedia products for major corporations in the U.S. and abroad. His career began in the cable television industry working for industry pioneer Bill Daniels.

Following his departure, Tabor intends to focus on independent projects, including continuing his award-winning podcast. He also plans to spend more time recreating in the mountains with his wife Cheryl, his two sons and his dog Ziggy.

The Colorado Chamber is conducting a nationwide search for the organization’s next membership and investment leader. The position is open now through March 23, 2026. An announcement will be made when a candidate is selected.
