DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce today released the following statement in response to proposed changes to the state’s labor laws announced at a press conference held by Colorado Workers Rights United:

“The Colorado Chamber’s priority is to preserve the balance in Colorado labor laws that keeps us competitive, respects employee autonomy, and attracts top businesses to the state,” said President and CEO Loren Furman. “The Chamber has not been included in any discussions to collaborate or work through concerns we had from last year’s bill. We will oppose any legislation that runs counter to our priorities and threatens our business climate.”

The Colorado Chamber released its 2026 legislative agenda last month, which outlines the Chamber’s opposition to proposals that would disrupt the balance achieved between business and labor through the Colorado Labor Peace Act.
