Cynthia Eveleth-Havens has been with the Colorado Chamber of Commerce since February 2019. In her role as Senior Vice President of Communications, she oversees all of the Chamber’s public relations and messaging strategies, media relations, digital communications and marketing.
Cynthia came to Colorado from Austin, Texas and has more than a decade of experience in political communications, media relations, campaigns and government affairs. Prior to joining the Chamber, she handled state legislative affairs for Texas’ oil and gas regulatory agency, the Texas Railroad Commission. She previously served as the media spokeswoman for the Texas Attorney General’s office, where she worked closely with state political reporters and managed the office’s media strategy for several high-profile Supreme Court cases. Cynthia also worked in the press office of then-Governor Rick Perry and served on the communications team of Governor Greg Abbott’s successful 2014 gubernatorial campaign. She began her career in 2010, working on local, state, and national political campaigns in Texas and Washington, DC focusing on communications and campaign management.
On the weekends, Cynthia can be found hiking, backpacking or skiing in the mountains with her husband Jaron, her son Clark, and her dog Lincoln. She’s passionate about the outdoors, landscape photography, wine, Taylor Swift, and Colorado craft beer.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and public policy from The George Washington University and was a member of the Colorado Chamber’s Leadership Colorado class of 2020.
