Ms. Ray will be discussing the Tax Exemptions Compilation Report and the process that she and her staff undergo to develop the report and recommendations. She will also discuss and answer questions on specific exemptions of interest to Tax Council members.
Background: Under current law, the State Auditor is required to review each of the State’s current tax expenditures and determine if they are achieving the objectives that they are intended to achieve. The review is required to be conducted at least once every 5 years and a report is required no later than September 14, 2018, and September 15 every year thereafter.
