The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

As Senior Director of Events for the Colorado Chamber, Summer leads the planning and execution of the Chamber’s major events throughout the year. She works with teams across the organization to bring these gatherings to life, guiding each event from early planning stages to the final details on event day. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, Summer helps create experiences that connect Chamber members, highlight Colorado’s business community and showcase the Chamber as a dynamic leader for Colorado businesses.
What Summer loves most about her role is event day itself. After months of planning, she enjoys seeing everything come together as people gather, conversations start and the energy of the room reflects the hard work behind the scenes. The fast-paced environment and coordinated effort required to make each event successful are what make those moments especially rewarding.

Since joining the Chamber at the beginning of the year, Summer is excited to experience all of the organization’s events for the first time. Each event offers a new opportunity to connect with members, highlight Colorado’s business community and continue building experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.
Outside of work, Summer enjoys traveling with her husband and exploring new destinations around the world. Some of their favorite trips have taken them to Norway, Argentina, Japan and Hawaii, and they are already looking forward to their next adventure to South Africa. When they’re closer to home, they enjoy playing pickleball with friends, skiing during the winter and relaxing with their cats, Maple and Matcha.

Summer and her husband are also foodies who love trying new restaurants throughout Colorado. Some of their favorite spots include Odyssey Italian for its popular Pasta Mondays, Tacos Selene on Santa Fe, Bohemian Biergarten in Boulder and Onefold for brunch.
Having moved to Colorado from Texas in early 2022, Summer says the lifestyle is exactly what drew them to the state. With more than 300 days of sunshine each year and easy access to the outdoors, Colorado offers the kind of work-life balance they were looking for. Whether heading to the mountains for a hike or ski day, enjoying a Colorado craft beer in the sunshine or exploring one of the state’s many parks, she says there is always something to do.
