In honor of Black History Month, the Colorado Chamber is recognizing Black business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, and job creators who have grown their businesses from the ground up and are core to our local Colorado communities.
Today’s feature is Tyrone Adams with Colorado Association of REALTORS

Tyrone Adams is the chief executive officer of the Colorado Association of REALTORS, a statewide organization that has served realtors and consumers since 1921. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate and association management, Adams brings deep industry knowledge and a strong commitment to service as he leads one of Colorado’s most influential trade organizations.
Born and raised in Denver, Adams is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and comes from a large, close-knit family that instilled in him the importance of community, collaboration and long-term impact. A husband, father of three and grandfather of four, Adams is driven by a desire to help build strong, sustainable communities for future generations.
Throughout his career, Adams has held leadership roles across real estate and business organizations, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry today. Under his leadership, the Colorado Association of REALTORS continues to serve as the collective voice for its members, advocating for policies that promote homeownership, protect private property rights and support a healthy, thriving real estate market.
Adams has spearheaded initiatives focused on best practices, expanding access to affordable housing and strengthening community engagement among realtors across Colorado. His leadership philosophy centers on service and empowerment, ensuring the Colorado Association of REALTORS remains a trusted resource that equips members with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in an evolving marketplace.
As CEO, Adams is committed to reinforcing the Colorado Association of REALTORS’s long-standing legacy while positioning the organization for the future. His leadership ensures realtors across Colorado are recognized as industry leaders, community advocates and champions of homeownership.
