Middle school students from public, private, charter, and home schools across the Upper Arkansas Valley are invited to apply for the National Civics Bee, a nonpartisan competition organized locally by the League of Women Voters and the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Students may enter the competition by submitting a four-paragraph essay that proposes a creative idea to improve their communities. The highest-scoring essay finalists will be selected to participate in a live quiz-style competition, which will take place in Buena Vista on April 26.
