More time is now available for middle school students hoping to participate in The National Civics Bee. The essay deadline has been extended by two weeks. The widespread impact of winter storms, including school closures, postal service delays, and power and internet outages across the nation, prompted the extension.
The original due date was Tuesday, February 3. All applications must now be submitted by Tuesday, February 17.
Any sixth, seventh, or eighth-grade student residing in Colorado with an idea about how to use civics to improve their community is eligible to submit an application to participate in the competition.
