Only one week is left until the essay submission deadline for the 2026 National Civics Bee. The deadline to submit an essay and participate in the Bee is Tuesday, February 3.
The BV Chamber of Commerce puts on the local Civics Bee in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Chaffee County (LWVCC). The BV Civics Bee is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at the American Legion Hall at 338 North Railroad St. in Buena Vista.
The goal of the Civics Bee is to encourage young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Entry is free and open to public, private, charter, and homeschool students. To be eligible, students must be in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade in participating states. Essay submission guidelines are available online here.
