Colorado Democrats will try again in 2026 to pass legislation aimed at making it easier for unions to organize.
Standing beside hundreds of workers during a rally at the Capitol on Thursday, state lawmakers said they will revive a failed bill from last year that sought to overturn an 80-year-old labor law that they say acts as a major roadblock to unionization efforts. Lawmakers plan to introduce their bill during the legislative session that begins on Jan. 14.

The Colorado Chamber of Commerce said in a statement on Thursday that it has “not been included in any discussions to collaborate or work through concerns we had from last year’s bill.”
“We will oppose any legislation that runs counter to our priorities and threatens our business climate,” the chamber said.
