The 2026 National Civics Bee application deadline is approaching soon. The essay application portal will close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3.
The BV Chamber of Commerce puts on the local Civics Bee in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Chaffee County (LWVCC). The BV Civics Bee is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at the American Legion Hall at 338 North Railroad St. in Buena Vista.
The goal of the Civics Bee is to encourage young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. The state chamber has partnered with eight regional partners across Colorado to facilitate the program, including in Buena Vista (BV).
