The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our Board of Directors to highlight the work they do to advance our mission and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

Amy Sherman has served on the Colorado Chamber board intermittently for more than two decades and is vice president of public affairs at Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, where she oversees public affairs, community relations, development and strategic partnerships. JA-Rocky Mountain is part of the world’s largest organization dedicated to preparing young people for success in a global economy, providing programs for K-12 students and young adults up to age 25 in Colorado and Wyoming.
In her role at JA-Rocky Mountain, Amy enjoys working with business leaders and legislators to help students gain skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship and career readiness. She has been involved in initiatives such as HB25-1192, which requires Colorado students to complete a personal financial literacy course to graduate high school.

Amy values the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of business leaders and exceptional staff through the Colorado Chamber’s board to strengthen the state’s business climate and long-term economic vitality. She also enjoys participating in Chamber programs such as the Coolest Things Made in Colorado and the National Civics Bee, which highlight the state’s innovative companies and future leaders. She and her husband are also loyal fans of Coloradle, the Chamber’s daily word game, which they play together every night.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and staying active through mountain biking, skiing, hiking and camping. She also enjoys traveling and is always looking for her next adventure. One of her favorite weekend escapes is Chaffee County, where she enjoys river sports, the live music scene and outdoor activities near her second home in Salida. She also recommends Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort, a local favorite.
For Amy, one of the most rewarding aspects of living and working in Colorado is the people. She thrives on collaboration and enjoys learning what drives others in their work and lives. She also loves exploring the state’s diverse regions, connecting with local business owners, and discovering the unique products and stories each community has to offer.
