The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our Board of Directors to highlight the work they do to advance our mission and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.
Darrin Henke has served on the Colorado Chamber board since 2009, making him one of our longest serving board members. In his professional role, he is chief operating officer at Chord Energy, a U.S.-focused upstream oil and gas exploration and production company. Chord Energy’s assets are primarily located in North Dakota, where the company is the largest operator in both oil production and lease holding, producing approximately 150,000 barrels of oil per day net to Chord.
What Darrin enjoys most about his role is working alongside Chord’s talented employees as they find innovative and sustainable approaches to producing oil and natural gas. He takes pride in the fact that the industry provides affordable and reliable energy that powers the economy, supporting industrious and prosperous communities in Colorado and beyond.
Darrin joined the Colorado Chamber board to collaborate with leaders from across industries in advocating for Colorado’s business future. He believes that addressing the state’s increasingly complex regulatory environment is essential to ensuring long-term prosperity. With three children, two of whom live and work in Colorado, he is personally invested in protecting the state’s future through common-sense initiatives that improve the business climate. His involvement with the Chamber has provided him valuable connections and insights into a wide range of industries and companies. He has also appreciated seeing how both the Chamber and Colorado’s industries have evolved over time.
Outside of work, Darrin is passionate about spending time with his family, staying active through pickleball and skiing, and being involved in his church. One of his favorite places to explore in Colorado is the Roan Plateau in the western part of the state, where he enjoys hunting, four-wheeling and hiking. The cliffs and waterfalls there are a highlight for him.
For Darrin, Colorado offers the perfect balance of natural beauty, climate and resources, making it an incredible place to live and work.
