DENVER – The Colorado Chamber Foundation today announced the selection of Rachel Beck as executive director, effective June 1, 2025. Beck has more than 20 years of experience in local and state public policy development, campaign management and bringing together diverse stakeholders to build consensus on community issues.
“Our Foundation has experienced significant growth over the last two years as the strategic mechanism for the Chamber’s long-term vision for Colorado,” said Colorado Chamber President and CEO Loren Furman. “We created this new role to build on the success we’ve had in advancing our future-focused priorities, and it’s time we have someone on the team solely dedicated to this full-time. I’ve known Rachel for many years, working closely with her as a partner on major business and policy issues facing our state. Our members know and trust her expertise and leadership, and I can’t think of a better person to really elevate the important work of the Colorado Chamber Foundation.”
The Colorado Chamber Foundation drives the funding, strategy and research behind Vision 2033, a 10-year action plan to improve the statewide business climate and foster economic growth. Beck will oversee this important work, including leading the Foundation initiatives on technology and legal reform, workforce development, environmental sustainability, and future strategic alliances and programs. In addition, Leadership Colorado will operate under the Foundation beginning with its current 2025 cohort.
“The Colorado Chamber Foundation has quickly become the leading organization focused on a strategic vision and blueprint for our state, and I’m honored to step into this role to help shape a stronger, more competitive future for Colorado,” Beck said. “The Foundation is making a real impact to improve our economic climate through research, data-backed solutions and key initiatives – I’m excited to be part of its growth and look forward to working with the Chamber team to foster a healthier business climate in Colorado.”
Beck comes to the Foundation from the Colorado Competitive Council where she served as executive director, overseeing the development and execution of the organization’s economic development-focused advocacy and programs. During her tenure, she doubled membership, increased the organization’s statewide partnerships and influence at the Capitol, and negotiated numerous state policies critical to Colorado’s economy on behalf of businesses.
Beck was named a Rising Star by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2017 and one of Colorado Politics’ dozen nonpartisan statewide leaders to watch in 2020. She has served on the boards of the Council of Neighbors and Organizations, Palmer Land Trust, Colorado Springs Press Association and UCCS Gallery of Contemporary Art.
Beck holds a master’s degree in political management from The George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
