Faces Behind the Chamber: Dave Tabor

The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

As the Colorado Chamber’s Executive Vice President of Business Partnerships, Dave Tabor is dedicated to building strong connections with business leaders across the state. He oversees board development, leads the membership team and directs the Chair’s Roundtable. Dave plays a vital role in helping Colorado businesses engage with the Chamber to advocate for policies that foster economic growth and a competitive business environment.

What Dave enjoys most about his role is the chance to connect with business leaders who are navigating the challenges of running companies in Colorado. He relates this to his experience as a former startup tech company owner, where he faced the complexities of government regulations firsthand. His favorite part of the job is helping businesses understand how policy impacts their operations and guiding them in influencing the business climate for the better.

One initiative Dave is particularly excited about is the Chamber’s Vision 2033, a 10-year strategic action plan to foster long-term economic growth and resiliency in Colorado. He’s motivated by the shared concerns of business leaders across the state and believes the Chamber is on the right path to make significant improvements.

Outside of work, Dave is passionate about podcasting. His podcast, ProCO360, was named “Best Colorado Business Podcast” from 2021-2024, and he enjoys featuring leaders of Colorado’s top entrepreneurial companies. In his free time, Dave loves to travel with his family, scuba dive and go backcountry snowshoeing. He also makes time for a daily evening walk with his wife Cheryl and their dog, Ziggy, followed by a workout.

After living in Colorado for years, Dave appreciates the welcoming nature of the people across the state, whether they’re transplants or natives. He’s especially fond of the Blue River area outside of Breckenridge, particularly the solitude and beauty found just a mile beyond Hoosier Pass.

For Dave, working in Colorado means being part of a community that values connection, outdoor adventure and a thriving business environment.
