Faces Behind the Chamber: Lauren Schwartz

The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

As Vice President of Investor Relations and Executive Director of the Colorado Chamber Alliance, Lauren plays a crucial role in ensuring that members are actively engaged in the Colorado Chamber’s mission to help businesses thrive and protect the state’s economic vitality and competitiveness. In her dual role, she also leads a coalition of more than 80 chambers of commerce from across the state, working together to elevate the chamber profession and enhance grassroots advocacy efforts.

What Lauren loves most about her role at the Chamber is the opportunity to be of service to our members. Whether it’s a small business, a major Colorado company, a trade association or a local chamber of commerce, Lauren finds it important to foster an organization that genuinely cares about the concerns, challenges and success of the business community. She believes in giving them a voice at the state capitol through public policy and the regulatory process.

A project that Lauren is particularly proud of is her work on the Colorado Chamber Alliance’s annual statewide conference. For the past three years, she has collaborated with board leaders and volunteers to produce this event, which brings together chamber leaders from across Colorado for three days of learning and collaboration. Though it’s a lot of work, she finds the rewards of fostering these connections and sharing knowledge well worth the effort.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys being active outdoors, particularly hiking and skiing in the high country. A recent accomplishment she’s proud of is completing a challenging ski-sail trip in Norway with her cousins and friends. Beyond outdoor adventures, Lauren loves art, design, music, movies and literature, and she is committed to giving back to her community through volunteering. However, what she values most is spending quality time with family and friends.

For Lauren, what makes living and working in Colorado special are the people—their sense of adventure and appreciation for the state’s natural beauty is something she appreciates every day.
