Buena Vista students Andee Quilico, Joseph Drexler and Simon Allen will be competing in the Colorado State Civics Bee on Friday, May 17.
At the Buena Vista Civics Bee on April 14, Quilico, Drexler and Allen finished 3rd, 2nd and 1st, respectively.
The first-place winner of the statewide competition will receive a $1000 cash prize ($500 for second place and $250 for third place). The Colorado State Champion will advance to the National Civics Bee competition in Washington, D.C. on November 12 to compete for the National Title as well as over $50,000 in prizes.
