Recalling and citing civics knowledge is hard enough, but doing it in a competitive setting while the eyes of judges are gazing at you makes the pressure even greater.
Three Windsor-area middle school students met the pressure and were victorious on Wednesday at the second annual National Civics Bee regional competition hosted by the Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce.
Abigail Dart of Colorado Early Colleges Middle School in Fort Collins placed first; Abigail Hall of American Legacy Academy in Windsor placed second; and Claire Kubichek of Colorado Early College in Windsor placed third.
