Governor Polis Addresses Colorado Chamber Board Meeting

Governor Jared Polis joined the Colorado Chamber Board Meeting this afternoon to speak with the group about his priorities and the 2024 Legislative Session.

The governor spoke with the board about his upcoming proposals regarding affordable housing and the rising cost of living. These initiatives plan to increase convenient access to low-cost transit opportunities, expand the supply of housing across the state, and boost workforce development.

Gov. Polis also spoke of his proposal addressing the education to workforce pipeline which includes recommendations from the Colorado Chamber’s Education to Employment Alliance regarding regional talent summits.

Many of the governor’s goals surrounding workforce and housing tie closely with the Chamber’s Vision 2033 strategic action plan to foster long-term economic growth and resiliency in Colorado. The Chamber is proud of its working relationship with the Governor’s Office and looks forward to further collaboration to improve our business climate.
