Essay submissions for the National Civics Bee are due on Jan. 22, 2024. The Chaffee County League of Women Voters and the BV Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring this year’s bee with the Colorado and National Chambers of Commerce.
The contest is open to middle school students from BV and surrounding areas. Students’ essays should identify a problem facing the community and discuss how citizens might address and solve it.
