DBJ: Sick of Colorado’s worker shortage? New alliance invites businesses, industry to the table

A group of five business-focused organizations has launched a new coalition that aims to ease lingering workforce shortages in Colorado, a problem that nearly half of the state’s businesses say has prevented them from filling open roles.

The coalition on Wednesday named five ways that they intend to work with post-secondary education and government entities to improve the state’s workforce pipeline. It’s calling on business and industry leaders to reach out now with opportunities to further discuss their goals.

The Education to Employment Alliance is comprised of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Inclusive Economy, Colorado Succeeds, the Colorado Technology Association and Colorado Thrives. Combined, the groups represent 2,000 employers.
