The Task Force is made up of industry, legislators, and state and local government representatives to look at policies to simplify Colorado’s complicated tax system. One of the largest pieces of policy to come out of the task force is the creation of the Sales and Use Tax System (SUTS) which is intended to further tax simplification.
Rachel Quintana with Ernst & Young is the appointed representative for the Colorado Chamber of Commerce on the Sales and Use Tax Simplification Task Force. In her first meeting, she provided an important presentation on behalf of the Colorado Chamber and the business community to provide feedback on what is working in the SUTS system and what is not. Her insights will go a long way as the task force considers potential SUTS upgrades and marketing strategies going into the 2024 legislative session.
