Greeley Tribune: 3 lawmakers representing Weld voters among Colorado Chamber of Commerce’s 15 MVPs of 2023 session

The Colorado Chamber of Commerce this month recognized 15 state lawmakers for advocating for the business community, including three lawmakers representing Weld County voters.

The inaugural class of the Colorado Chamber MVP Awards includes Sen. Barbara Kirkmeyer, a Republican representing voters in western parts of Weld County and part of Larimer County; Rep. Gabe Evans, a Republican representing western parts of Weld and west Greeley in addition to part of Adams County; and House Minority Leader Rep. Mike Lynch, a Republican representing the Eaton area west into part of Larimer.

Colorado’s economic competitiveness is slipping on the national landscape, according to a news release from the Colorado Chamber, making advocating for a healthy business climate more important than ever. The chamber in October 2022 released a survey of business leaders, which found the top two concerns among Colorado CEOs are the regulatory climate and workforce issues.
