CACI’s Curtsinger Represents CACI Members at EPA Listening Session

The EPA is requesting comments about repealing the Obama-era Clean Power Plan (CPP) and last week Leah Curtsinger, CACI’s Federal Policy Director, spoke on behalf of CACI members in Gillette, WY.  EPA Region 8 Director Doug Benevento kicked off the listening session, which included Members of Congress, local elected officials and an audience of more than 200 activists.  Curtsinger shared comments from the business community’s perspective, specifically our member’ emphasis on taking a closer look at establishing more common-sense and less burdensome regulations, as well as asking that any future replacement policy only looks to regulate emissions within a regulated facility’s fence line. (For more details, see below.)

Should the EPA choose to replace the CPP with another policy to address CO2 emissions, Curtsinger asked that Director Benevento and the EPA utilize CACI’s vast network of businesses- and industry matter experts to create policy that better reflects Colorado’s approach to preserving our environment and being good stewards of the land, without sacrificing our economic well-being.

Spotlight on CACI Member Front Range Energy

Dan Sanders of Front Range Energy discusses innovations at his plant with CACI’s Lauren Schwartz

CACI caught up with Front Range Energy to learn more about innovations taking place in Colorado’s ethanol production and distribution industry. As a leader in the industry, Front Range Energy’s vice president, Dan Sanders serves as board vice chair of Growth Energy, a national biofuel trade association representing producers, retailers and supporters of ethanol who are working to bring consumers better choices at the fuel pump, grow America’s economy, and improve the environment.

Congratulations to CACI's Dave Tabor!

His podcast, ProCO360, was voted Best Denver Podcast.
