Simone D. Ross is a Denver native who grew up in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. After graduating from Denver East High School, Simone attended Colorado State University, where she earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts and English. She later earned an M.A. in Curriculum Instruction and Design from University of Phoenix, and an MBA from Colorado State University.
Simone is passionate about building sustainable, empowered, educated, and safe, communities; this passion fuels her work in healthcare administration, where she’s spent 12 years solving intricate business challenges, engaging communities, contributing to legislative conversations, and working towards solutions to ensure communities have access to quality health care. Simone is the Director of Business Development at Delta Dental, where she lives her passion for improving community health by improving access to oral health care. Simone is also passionate about the enfranchisement of women locally and globally, she writes curriculum for the Women’s Worth Project in Kenya, and contributes to women’s leadership forums across the Nation. When women everywhere have access to equal opportunities, education, and are equipped with a toolkit for achievement and success; families are strengthened, the economy is stimulated, and we are empowered to facilitate positive change.
Simone has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” business leader, the Association for Corporate Growth as a David Sloan business scholar, was recognized by the Colorado Black Chamber as a community service champion, is a graduate of Leadership Denver, and is an Urban Leadership Foundation Chamber Connect alumnus. She lives her commitment to community service through her contributions to Aurora Public Schools Foundation (board member), City Year (mentor), Families Forward Resource Center (board member) Reach Out and Read Colorado (board member), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Simone and her husband Ryan live in Aurora, Colorado with their son Gavin (7 years), their daughter Zoë (2years), and dog Max (10 years). They enjoy music, dancing, art, reading, travel, shopping, and anything spontaneous and zany!
