Sandra is the Director of Insurance for AAA of Colorado. As the Director of AAA Colorado, Sandra’s primary responsibilities include growing and maintaining the Insurance business book, development and career pathing for her direct reports, advocacy from an insurance perspective on Road Safety, cultivating an engaged customer service and sales culture as well as building strong relationships with other insurance partners. Ms. Shambaugh joined AAA Colorado in March of 2016. Before joining AAA Colorado, Sandra was with AAA of Northern California, Nevada, Utah for ten years in sales and various leadership roles. Those roles included Life Insurance Specialist, Insurance Sales Manager, Business Manager, District Manager throughout her career in Northern CA, Nevada, and Utah. Before joining AAA of Northern California, Nevada, Utah Sandra was in sales with State Farm. She was a licensed associate for Property & Casualty, Life & Annuities for Agent Roxanne Duffield State Farm Agency.
Sandra has a long history of community and corporate involvement. Past experiences include Truckee Rotary, Co-Lead for CSAA Hispanic Leadership program, Northern Nevada Lead for the CSAA Diversity and Inclusion program, AAA of NCNU School Safety Patrol Lead for West Lake Mead NV, Canyon Ridge Community Church small group host, Truckee Watershed council to name a few. Sandra enjoys expanding her network and community outreach to be a more involved citizen of her local community.
