DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce today released the following statement from president and CEO Loren Furman on the results of the 2026 General Election:
“Congratulations to Governor-elect Phil Weiser and to the Chamber-endorsed legislative candidates who won their races last night. Throughout our endorsement process, we looked for leaders who understand the challenges facing Colorado employers and the important role a strong business climate plays in creating jobs and opportunity across the state. We look forward to working with the new administration and leadership in the legislature to advance practical, forward-thinking solutions that strengthen our economy and position Colorado for long-term success.”
The Colorado Chamber continues to monitor several races and initiatives that have yet to be called, including the results on statewide measure Amendment 87. The Chamber opposes the proposal and invested financial, legal and messaging resources against it. The Chamber also supported Proposition 136, opposed Proposition NN, and chose not to take positions on other ballot measures, including 7A, which will fund passenger rail across the Front Range.
