The Colorado Chamber of Commerce successfully opposed legislation in the 2026 session that could have cost businesses more than $468 million and more than $2,300 per employee in additional fees, according to the Chamber’s 2026 annual report released June 22.

The Chamber targeted 15 “job killer” and “wallet watchdog” bills that threatened the state’s business climate and economic opportunities. All of those bills were either defeated or significantly amended, making the Chamber’s lobbying efforts the most successful opposition agenda in its history, the report states.
