Each of the women featured in the month of March are panelists for the Colorado Chamber’s Women’s Forum happening on March 27.
Today’s feature is Kelly Adams with Intermountain Health
Kelly Adams is the region general counsel for Intermountain Health, a not-for-profit health care system with 385 clinics and 33 hospitals across the Intermountain West. Intermountain’s mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible through quality, sustainable and affordable care closely aligns with Adams’ work in health care law and strategic growth.
In her role, she supports and partners with the executive team overseeing Intermountain’s operations in Colorado and Montana. Adams provides legal and strategic guidance on a wide range of transactional, regulatory and operational matters. Her expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, strategic growth transactions, partnerships, affiliations, joint ventures and real estate transactions.
Before joining Intermountain, Adams practiced law at Akerman LLP’s Denver office, where she specialized in health care law and business transactions. Prior to her legal career, she worked in research and program development for University of Colorado Hospital, gaining valuable insight into health care operations and patient care initiatives.
Adams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College and earned her Juris Doctor and Health Law & Policy Certificate from the University of Colorado Law School. Her academic background, combined with her hands-on experience in health care operations, has provided her with a deep understanding of the intersection between law, policy and patient care.
Beyond her professional achievements, Adams enjoys hiking and skiing with her husband and their 6-year-old daughter, Molly. She embraces the Colorado outdoor lifestyle, finding balance between her legal career and time spent exploring the mountains with her family.
