This week, 31 rising leaders from 25 Colorado companies started their year in Leadership Colorado! Participants learned about the work the Colorado Chamber of Commerce is doing to champion a pro-business Colorado, refreshed their knowledge of state government from a presentation by Joe Rice, Director of State and Local Government Relations at Lockheed Martin Space, toured the Colorado Capitol Dome, Mr. Brown’s Attic, the House and Senate gallery, and met with Representative William Lindstedt (D-Adams, Broomfield, Weld) and Representative Lisa Frizell (R – Douglas), whom, along with Ed Sealover’s guidance, walked the class through a mock bill hearing discussing HB 1085. The session ended with a happy hour at The Brown Palace Hotel with General Manager Jana Smith sharing the storied history of the property and recounting stories of the legendary ghosts that may live in the hotel.
This is a smart, engaged group and we look forward to getting together next month for a deep dive into the restaurant and hospitality industry with Snooze, an A.M. Eatery!
