Colorado Chamber Releases Quarterly Statewide Jobs Report in Partnership with Aspen Technology Labs

DENVER – The Colorado Chamber of Commerce and Aspen Technology Labs (ATL), a global leader in recruitment technology, today announced a new quarterly jobs report highlighting the latest insights into Colorado’s workforce trends. The partnership is meant to provide valuable workforce data to the public to better understand Colorado’s economic standing.

According to the report, as of April 1, 2023, there were approximately 117,000 job vacancies statewide in Colorado, a 2% reduction from the previous quarter. The median annual salary for Colorado full-time job postings was $59,998, a 2.3% increase from the previous quarter. Nationwide, Colorado ranks 11th for highest median salary and the 9th for highest number of job vacancies per capita.

The most significant job change occurred in Pueblo, Colorado, which saw a 13% increase in job vacancies this quarter for a total of 2,421 current openings. Montrose and Fort Collins were close behind, with an increase in vacancies of 12% and 7% respectively. The largest reduction in job postings was seen in Grand Junction, which experienced a 7% decrease in vacancies since January 1, 2023. Boulder, Colorado Springs and Denver had the highest median salaries, at $63,991, $61,651 and $60,424 respectively.
