Learn More About Our “Coolest Thing Made in Colorado” Winner, SunSpring Hybrid!
Last week the Colorado Chamber celebrated our Coolest Thing Made in Colorado finalists and announced our winner, SunSpring Hybrid by Innovative Water Technologies, at our annual meeting event!
The SunSpring Hybrid is a portable solar- and wind-powered, self-contained microbiological water purification system capable of producing up to and exceeding 20,000 liters per day for up to and exceeding 10 years. The product is made in Rocky Ford, Colorado and is used all over the world to provide safe drinking water to water systems and developing communities!
The water system is used for disaster relief, international development, humanitarian projects, schools, hospitals, and even complete villages.
It reduces debilitating water-borne disease in most fresh water and is currently deployed in 38 countries worldwide. The technology physically removes particulate, turbidity, bacteria, viruses and cysts from virtually any water source including rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, shallow wells, rainwater, unsafe municipal supplies and springs.
The Colorado-made product is sustainable, low maintenance, self-cleaning, and can be expedited for emergency response. And because it’s powered by wind and solar, it can be used in the most remote locations.
“The SunSpring water purification system is an incredible example of the impact Colorado manufacturers can have on our communities and a fitting representation of how Colorado-made products can change lives,” Chamber President and CEO Loren Furman said in a press release.

Join us in Welcoming Molly Kostka, the Chamber’s New Leadership Colorado Program Manager!
We’re thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Chamber team! Molly Kostka is the new Leadership Colorado program manager.
Leadership Colorado, formerly EXEC’s Advocacy, is the Chamber’s long-time program offering exclusive insight into the workings of prominent Colorado companies through business tours and policy-based forums with key Colorado executives and officials. In her role, Molly will oversee development of the program, guided tours, and participant engagement starting with the 2023 Class. Previous members of the program have toured major companies and industries across Colorado, from Lockheed Martin to Amazon to Xcel Energy and more.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Molly worked in both the public and private sector, and in for-profit and non-profit organizations in the entertainment, aviation, and tourism industries. Molly was most recently the operations manager at Denver Zoo where she oversaw day-to-day operations and logistics for the learning & engagement department and mentored a team of fifteen educators. With a passion for building and sustaining relationships, she’s participated in two Denver-area leadership development programs and is thrilled to be facilitating Leadership Colorado programming for Colorado’s emerging leaders!
Molly replaces Priscilla Varner, who has successfully led the program for nearly four years and is leaving the Chamber to manage her new company, Beach Haus Swimwear, full-time.
Molly is excited to work with the Chamber and provide the future classes of the Leadership Colorado Program with an enriching experience that will have a lasting impact on their perspective of critical issues that impact the different regions of Colorado and the industries that support them.
Welcome to the Chamber, Molly!
