Encore Electric Celebrates New Prefabrication and Tool Center with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

April 11, 2022 – Aurora, CO — On Thursday, April 7, 2022, Encore Electric officially opened its new Prefabrication and Tool Center in Aurora, Colo. with a ribbon cutting ceremony. In attendance were City of Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman as well as other key representatives of the City of Aurora, Aurora Chamber of Commerce, customers, and partners.

“Thank you for thinking of and investing in the City of Aurora,” said Mayor Mike Coffman. “Thank you for the jobs you have created and the jobs you will create through your educational training programs.”

Encore Electric brought nearly 50 jobs to the community via the new prefabrication and tool center and plans to continue to expand the center in the coming months.

“Encore is the perfect example of a great economic development win for our city and state,” added Wendy Mitchell, President and CEO of Aurora Economic Development Council. “We’re thrilled such a quality company, with an extensive resume of top regional projects, has recognized the benefits of doing business here. We know they will lean into our growing talent pool by partnering with local schools and resources and serve the next generation of trade crafts from this facility.”

Designed for better collaboration, the center provides the space needed to work in a controlled environment, to lessen onsite manpower, test equipment safely, remove waste from jobsites and landfills, optimize a consistent workflow, and give us a place to safely train apprentices with a hands-on approach to better prepare them for their future in the field.

“Our vision is to provide all things power, technology and energy,” said President of Encore Electric Willis Wiedel. “For us to provide our customers with these things without limitations is a big task, this facility helps us do that. We look forward to making Aurora and Adams County proud.”

The 67,000 square foot facility is where many Encore Electric apprentices begin their electrical careers. The facility is also grounds for planning and creating technology to achieve and surpass the expectations of our customers, while developing our workforce in their career paths.

“We are generating a product and a service, both with quality second to none,” said Sam Hamilton, Encore Electric director of VDC and Prefabrication. “We’re doing the work, the research, and training the best talent in the market to bring to the table for our customers and our projects alike. This is more than just a shop, it’s our vision to never stop improving on what we have or the quality of our lives so that we leave the generations to come the same incredible opportunity to dream big and be head strong.”
