Andy Ahrendt is Director of Corporate Development for PCL Construction, an international construction company that focuses on the civil infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial and buildings markets. Based out of PCL’s US Head Office in Denver, Colorado, Andy is responsible for overseeing the organization’s US-wide initiatives and programs, including Virtual Construction, Quality Management, Sustainability, Lean, Marketing and US Manufacturing pursuits.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience, his specialties include construction project development and operation, high-end account management, as well as hospitality and resort property development and management. During Andy’s career, his entrepreneurial spirit inspired him and his wife Sue to acquire and operate a high-quality historic resort in Minnesota for more than 10 years. Andy has become a trusted advisor to many of PCL’s repeat clients, such as Land O’ Lakes, 3M and General Mills during his 16 years with the company.
Andy holds a bachelors’ degree from the University of Minnesota, a construction degree from Hennepin Technical College, a LEED® Accredited Professional, and is a Safety Trained Supervisor. He strongly values giving back to his community and has fulfilled several civic leadership roles throughout his career, including that of past executive committee board member for the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, Gunflint Trail Tourism Association and is currently a Lambda Alpha International member and an advisory board member to Food Innovation Roundtable.
