A Colorado boy was crowned the 2026 National Civics Bee champion this week.
Peter Daniell, a 14-year-old from Broomfield, took home the Bill Daniels National Civics Award and a $100,000 contribution to a 529 education savings plan after beating out finalists from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and American Samoa at Wednesday’s competition in the nation’s capital, according to a news release from the Colorado Chamber Foundation.
