The Colorado Chamber is pleased to announce Alicia Gelinas, CPA, President and CEO of the Colorado Society of CPAs, as the new Chair of the Tax Council. Gelinas brings extensive experience in the accounting profession and a deep understanding of the tax and regulatory issues affecting Colorado businesses. Her professional background also includes public accounting, adjunct teaching, consulting, and coaching. In her current role, Gelinas has been actively engaged in legislative and regulatory issues affecting Colorado’s accounting profession, including providing testimony before the Colorado General Assembly on tax and professional issues.
The Colorado Chamber is also pleased to announce Jamee Allen of Climax Molybdenum, a Freeport-McMoRan company, as the new Chair of the Governmental Affairs Council. Allen brings significant experience in Colorado government relations and public policy, serving as Colorado Lead Government Relations Advisor for Freeport-McMoRan and representing Climax Molybdenum on issues important to Colorado’s business and mining communities. Her experience working at the intersection of business and government provides valuable perspective as the Chamber evaluates legislation and develops policy priorities.
Together, Gelinas and Allen bring strong professional expertise, industry perspectives, and a commitment to advancing a competitive business environment in Colorado. Their leadership will be particularly important as the Chamber prepares for upcoming legislative sessions and continues working with policymakers on issues that affect employers across the state.
