The quiz rounds consist of multiple choice style questions where competitors are asked difficult questions ranging from obscure Supreme Court cases to George Washington facts.
In the final public speaking round, competitors must summarize the problem and solution presented in their essay and answer judge questions about constitutional amendments and founding principles with just one note card for reference. Wood said she focuses on prepping her students for the public speaking round the most as it’s the most demanding.
