The U S Chamber of Commerce Foundation National Civics Bee was held at The Block in Fort Morgan on Saturday, April 18. The event was hosted by Kids At Their Best (KATB) and sponsored by the Daniels Fund, with support through a partnership with the Coors Foundation.
According to the website, the National Civics Bee is an annual competition created by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to encourage middle school students to strengthen their civic knowledge and engage with issues in their communities. Students first submit essays on local issues, and selected finalists advance to live quiz rounds that test their understanding of civics, government and community involvement
