The Ark Valley Civics Bee is set for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at the American Legion Hall in Buena Vista (BV). This regional competition is the first of three live competitions, culminating with the national event in Washington, D.C. The American Legion Hall is located at 338 North Railroad, in BV.

The top three regional finalists then have the chance to participate in the state-level competition hosted by the Colorado Chamber of Commerce in Denver on July 24, 2026. The Colorado State Champion then advances to the National Civics Bee competition in Washington, D.C., in the fall to compete for the national title and over $140,000 in prizes.
