DBJ: Gov. Polis confirms pledge to veto Worker Protection Act after failed compromise attempts

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis reiterated today that he is likely to veto union-friendly labor legislation that business advocates have opposed since its inception.

The announcement comes after House Democrats voted Tuesday to send Senate Bill 5 to the governor’s desk despite failing to reach a compromise with the business community.

The business coalition included the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Concern, the Colorado Contractors Association, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and others, according to Ament.
