A local middle school competition for the National Civics Bee is in Steamboat Springs tonight. It’s at 5:30 p.m. at the STARS Ranch, 35465 U.S. Highway 40. It’s a live quiz event, where students will answer questions from judges to test their civics knowledge. There are 16 students from Steamboat Springs Middle School, Sleeping Giant School, and homeschool students from Craig. Finalists will compete in Denver on May 30, with a chance to compete in Washington DC in the fall. The event is hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce.
