As local DPCA (Darren Patterson Christian Academy) student Joseph Drexler prepares to compete in the National Civics Bee competition in Washington, D.C. on the morning of Tuesday, November 12, Buena Vista (BV) Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Liz Morgan encourages members to sponsor the upcoming 2025 competition.
“I’m heading to D.C. tomorrow to watch Joseph Drexler compete in the Civics Bee National Championship,” wrote Morgan in a message to Chamber members. “This is a huge opportunity that we were able to provide to local middle school students and we’re gearing up to do it again this winter. The truth is though, that if we can’t raise enough money to put it on, we simply won’t be able to do it again in 2025.”
