After winning the Buena Vista (BV) Civics Bee and taking the top spot at state, local student Joseph Drexler will be heading to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Civics Bee. On Tuesday, November 12, Drexler will compete against twenty-seven other state finalists for a top prize of $100,000.
Those unable to make the trip to D.C. in person will still be able to watch. A livestream will be available for community members to engage and support the DPCA (Darren Patterson Christian Academy) student.
Those interested in registering to attend in-person or virtually can do so on the U.S. Chamber’s website at no cost. The competition will be streamed from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time (10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern) on Tuesday, November 12.
