Faces Behind the Chamber: Teresa Busk

The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

As the Communications and Advocacy Manager at the Colorado Chamber, Teresa plays an important role in shaping the Chamber’s communications strategies. Her responsibilities include media relations, digital marketing, social media, public relations and strategic research. The communications department works closely with all other departments within the Chamber to ensure that messaging is cohesive and that the important work of the Chamber team is effectively publicized.

One project Teresa is particularly proud of is the creation of the Colorado Scorecard, a research tool designed to serve as a data watchdog. This initiative monitors Colorado’s standing across various metrics and has become a key resource for businesses, legislators and others to track Colorado’s competitiveness. It aligns with the Colorado Chamber’s Vision 2033, highlighting the importance of data-driven decision-making.

What Teresa loves most about her role is the variety it offers. Each day presents new challenges, whether she’s collaborating with the government affairs team on legislation the Chamber is monitoring or helping the membership team recognize some of the remarkable companies in Colorado. This dynamic environment keeps her engaged and motivated.

Outside of work, Teresa is an avid hiker who spends most weekends exploring Colorado’s trails with her dog, Aspen. She also enjoys reading, spending quality time with family and friends, watching hockey, and traveling. With Iceland at the top of her travel bucket list, Teresa is always on the lookout for new adventures.

Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Teresa recommends visiting her hometown for a taste of Colorado’s amazing outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, biking or climbing, the Roaring Fork Valley has it all. And for a delicious bite to eat, she highly recommends stopping by White House Pizza in Carbondale, her favorite pizza spot.

Living and working in Colorado provides Teresa with endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and experience all that the state has to offer. She believes that Colorado truly has something for everyone, whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both.
