Faces Behind the Chamber: Christy Woodward

The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.

As a Regulatory Affairs Advisor for the Colorado Chamber, Christy engages with state agencies and stakeholders on rulemaking, compliance and emerging issues. She offers expert testimony and helps guide the Chamber’s policy and advocacy work, drawing on her background in science and data to tackle complex regulatory challenges.

What Christy enjoys most about her role is collaborating with the Chamber’s members. She takes great pride in the Chamber’s Climate and Sustainability efforts, where Colorado businesses consistently lead the way in reducing emissions and promoting environmental sustainability. Christy finds it rewarding to share this success and explore creative solutions to further improve operations and protect the environment.

Looking ahead, Christy is excited about the Chamber’s ongoing outreach to the environmental community and upcoming collaborations with key state agencies like the Colorado Energy Office and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. These efforts focus on climate and air quality improvements, and she’s eager to find areas of alignment in these important initiatives.

Outside of her work with the Chamber, Christy stays busy with her husband and two elementary-aged children. She enjoys cooking, learning the cello, and is passionate about reading and meditation. Recently, she helped start a social justice club at her children’s school, a cause that’s close to her heart. When it comes to unwinding, Christy enjoys spending time in nature, playing with her kids and learning new things—often through the MasterClass app.

After 25 years in Colorado, Christy’s love for the state continues to grow. Some of her favorite places are Ouray and Telluride, where the mountains, hot springs and local charm make them truly special.
