Colorado Chamber Comments on Enhanced Monitoring Guidance

The Colorado Chamber recently submitted a comment letter in response to the CO Dept. of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE’s) Enhanced Air Monitoring Guidance Document which impacts businesses statewide. On July 1st, CDPHE’s subject matter expert panel that generated the guidance discussed the comments they received, however, the CO Chamber’s Regulatory Advisor, Christy Woodward, also met separately with CDPHE staff on July 11th to discuss our comments and explain the impact of the proposed guidance on Chamber members.

We are pleased to share that many of the changes we requested have been accepted by CDPHE’s Air Pollution Division staff, and a revised draft is posted here. A key piece of the Chamber’s Vision 2033 strategic plan is to address the regulatory impact on business including in the energy and environment sector. We appreciate the collaboration with the Division and the progress made on this proposed guidance.

Additional information on the technical expert panel and follow-up meetings can be found here. If you have questions, outstanding issues or would like additional information, please contact Christy Woodward at [email protected].
