The Colorado Chamber is recognizing members of our staff to highlight the hard work they do to be a unifying voice for business and champion a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.
As Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for the Colorado Chamber, Meghan Dollar leads the charge in advocating for Chamber members at the state capitol, engaging in direct lobbying efforts, grassroots coordination, coalition leadership, and providing critical testimony on key business issues.
What Meghan loves most about her role at the Chamber is the opportunity she has to shape Colorado’s business landscape for the better. Advocating to create a more favorable environment for businesses in Colorado is not just a job—it’s a passion. Meghan also values the collaborative and talented team at the Chamber, making every achievement a shared success.
Reflecting on notable projects, Meghan finds pride in navigating challenging legislative sessions and successfully leading impactful rulemaking initiatives. Stepping out of her comfort zone and achieving meaningful results underscore Meghan’s commitment to effective advocacy.
Looking forward, Meghan is excited about upcoming initiatives aligned with the Chamber’s Vision 2033, particularly those focused on addressing housing supply challenges. Collaborating with Chamber members to explore direct business community involvement in this area excites Meghan for the future.
Outside the realm of advocacy, Meghan enjoys hobbies like gardening, crafting, and cooking—activities that provide a perfect counterbalance to the demands of the job. Cooking, especially, serves as a way to unwind especially when paired with favorite comedy series like 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation.
As a Florida native, one of Meghan’s favorite parts of living and working in Colorado is getting to experience all the seasons, although she admits to having mixed feelings about the winters here. One of her favorite hidden gems to recommend is taking a short getaway to Paonia, known for its stunning scenery. Meghan and her family often visit Paonia to enjoy the amazing farms, breweries, and wineries the town has to offer.
