The Buena Vista (BV) Chamber of Commerce has shared the Top 20 essays written by Buena Vista area middle school students and submitted to participate in the local portion of the National Civics Bee. The live competition for the Buena Vista Civics Bee was held on Sunday, April 14. Now now community members can read the essays of all twenty students who participated in the local competition.
The final standings of the live competition were:
First place: Simon A., Darren Patterson Christian Academy
Second place: Joseph D., Darren Patterson Christian Academy
Third place: Andee Q., Buena Vista Middle School
