DBJ: There’s a ballot measure to lower property taxes in Colorado — and a battle is taking shape

Two of the Front Range’s most influential chambers of commerce are either ambivalent or undecided on a ballot initiative this November designed to rein in assessment rates on residential and commercial property. Such assessments are fueling higher property taxes for Coloradans.

Loren Furman, president and CEO of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, said her organization’s board has not yet taken a position on Proposition HH, nor discussed it as a group.
